From our base at the Pavilion in Huncote, Community Action Blaby District acts as the area’s Community Hub and delivers a wide range of services directly to the people and communities of the District.
Community Action Blaby District’s services include community transport, information and support for carers, befriending for older people, support for people with mental ill-health and A Place To Grow, our community garden project.
Community Action Blaby District’s services provide a focus for local people to engage in volunteering to support local needs and local communities.
Community Action Blaby District administers community grants on behalf of Blaby District Council to support and strengthen local voluntary and community organisations.
Community Action Blaby District works in partnership with Voluntary Action Leicestershire to provide people with wider volunteering opportunities and to support and develop voluntary and community organisations.
Community Action Blaby District works with our voluntary sector partners and statutory agencies to be of influence in the spheres of local government, health and wellbeing, policing and community safety.
Together we are committed to both Leicestershire Together and Blaby Together, the local strategic partnership for the District. We aim to form strong relationships with people, neighbourhoods and communities with the intention of improving the quality of life in Blaby District.
