Small Grants Programme - This programme offers grants of up to £5,000 to registered charities with incomes of under £500,000, which fit their funding guidelines. Biffaward - Investing in the Environment - Biffaward is a multi-million pound fund which awards grants to community and environmental projects across the UK. There are four levels of funding: Main Grants - Community £5,000 to £50,000 for Projects that provide and improve community facilities; Small Grants - £250 to £5,000 for projects that enable communities to improve local amenities and to conserve wildlife; Main Grants - Biodiversity £5,000 to £50,000 for projects that conserve wildlife species and habitats and Flagship £150,000 to £500,000 for regionally significant projects which improve biodiversity or cultural facilities. There are no deadlines for submitting an application to the Main Grants and Small Grants Schemes but eligibility depends on whether your organisation is within 10 miles of a Biffa Operation and a landfill site. SITA Trust - Enhancing Communities Programme - This is a Funding Programme for Community Improvement Projects. SITA support projects that make physical improvements to community facilities and historic buildings/structures. They offer small grants of up to £10,000 and large grants of between £10,001 and £50,000. Not for profit organisations, community groups, parish councils, local authorities and charities can apply. Peter Cruddas Foundation - The Foundation aims to benefit disadvantaged and disengaged young people in society. The Foundation gives priority to programmes designed to help disadvantaged young people to pursue their education (including vocational) and more generally develop their potential whether through sport or recreation, voluntary programmes or otherwise. To be eligible you need to be a UK charity registered with the charity commission benefiting people living in the UK. You can also benefit if you are an organisation or individual supported by a UK charity but it would have to be the supporting charity that applied. ACT Foundation - ACT provides grants to individuals and other charities with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for people in need, (specifically the mentally and physically disabled). Grants are available for building, equipment and financial assistance. There is no maximum grant size and you can apply for a grant at any time.
